First, you'll need to order the MD750 which comprises
both our Fil-Form "25" Template and Roll-E-ZY Press Piece .
The MD750 costs $130.00 U.S. and is a 1-time purchase unless you need
to equip other stations, satellites, etc. with the units. The Fil-Form template
is necessary to prevent crushing the Medi-Cup
Blisters and possibly the medication contained in them. In addition, the
Fil-Form template keeps the blisters in place when aligning and applying your
Lid-Label Covers
on them. And, in conjunction with the blister sheets, the Fil-Form template
provides a clean surface for dispensing your medication, reducing the potential
for medication cross-contamination.
The Roll-E-ZY Press Piece ensures a positive, uniform seal between labels and
blisters.
Without these two units, we cannot guarantee the integrity of the seal.
MILT 3.0 contains a whole new look with a variety of innovative features designed to keep pace with the ever-changing practice of pharmacy packaging. We’ve greatly expanded our formatting options so you can design your labels any way you want. Bar Codes, Graphics, Special Fonts, Tall Man Lettering, Shapes and Logos can now be included. All were added to call attention to important dispensing information, helping minimize medication error.
MILT 3.0 also lets you customize your work flow and contains a variety of reports to help you with the daily management of your practice. You can construct reports to determine what was packaged, when it was packaged, who packaged it…even management reports to help train your personnel.
Bar Coding has never been easier than it is in MILT 3.0. All common types of bar codes are supported - 1-Dimensional (1-D, linear), 2-Dimensional (2-D), Reduced Space Symbology (RSS) and Multi-Part codes have been included (e.g. PDF417 and Data Matrix). You can construct your bar code your way. Incorporate whatever information you need --- NDC, Lot Numbers, Beyond-Use Dating, Hospital Codes, Wholesaler Numbers…even multiple bar codes on packages. Whatever your BPOC system requires, MILT 3.0 can handle.
We upgraded our FDA NDC database to display even more information. Simply type or scan the NDC number from a manufacturer’s container (or type the medication name) and the pertinent information about that med appears. The information can be mapped to designated fields within the software…saving time and reducing error.
In addition, MILT 3.0 supports our new line of thermal printer labels – for both direct thermal and thermal transfer printers. We’ve designed thermal Lid-Label Covers, LiquiDose, Mini-LiquiDose and new Butterfly syringe labels. Now, you can print only what you need but design your labels any way you want. And, our thermal Lid-Label Covers provide you the same degree of moisture resistance and ultraviolet inhibitance as all our other Medi-Dose products.
MILT 3.0 also lets you customize your work flow and contains a variety of reports to help you with the daily management of your practice. You can construct reports to determine what was packaged, when it was packaged, who packaged it…even management reports to help train your personnel.
And, like always, technical support is free
Here are some examples of 2-D Bar Codes which contain multiple fields from MILT 3.0 and MILT 2.6 with information encoded in them.
If you're using a dot matrix printer, you'll need to order our MD2000 software. MD2000 contains many of the features of MILT 3.0. But you won't be able to print bar codes or perform some of the customization enhancements contained in MILT 3.0. If you purchase MD2000 and then subsequently obtain a laser or an ink jet printer, please let us know so we can discuss upgrading you to MILT 3.0!
After you've made your initial purchase of the Fil-Form "25" Template, Roll-E-ZY Press Piece and Medi-Dose software, you won't need to purchase them again. Your repeat orders need only be for blisters and labels. We've listed your options for both items below.

The LaserLabel Lid-Label Cover Sheets work with either a laser or an ink jet printer and are available in 12 colors (Blue, Orange, Red, Green, Yellow, Purple, Gray, Gold, Teal, Brown, Tan and Pink).
If you have thermal printing capabilities, we recommend using our Thermal Lid-Label Covers to supplement your laser printing needs. The Thermal Lid-Label Covers let you print strips of just 5 doses at time…each one with a log/flag label for record keeping purposes. Our Thermal Lid-Label Covers are available in either a Direct Thermal (no ribbon) or Thermal Transfer (ribbon) styles.
A word about Bar Code Printing --- We recommend using either laser or thermal printers if you intend to print bar codes, regardless of whether you're using the Medi-Dose system or printing a bar code on any other surface. Laser printers use toner which is fused to the paper when it comes in contact with the printer’s heat source. Direct thermal printers use special label stock which has ink embedded within it. The ink is released when the labels are subjected to the printer’s heat source. Thermal transfer labels use a special thermal ribbon that is fused to the label when both pass by the printer’s heat source. All will give you sharp bar code output which should be easily scanned by your bar coding equipment.
As much as we like ink jet printers when printing general alpha/numeric text on our LaserLabel Lid-Label Covers (or our Laser LiquiDose (for liquids), Laser Mini LiquiDose or Laser LiquiDose Butterfly (for syringes, ampules, small containers or those meds requiring extra bar codes), we unfortunately, can't recommend them if you intend to use bar codes. The legibility of your bar codes and their ability (or lack thereof) to be read by scanners may become an issue. This is due to the extremely small lines contained in some bar codes. Ink jet printers use ink (a liquid) which can and often will migrate through the fibers of the paper, making the codes unreadable. In addition, ink requires time to dry. If the label or form is used before the ink has dried, the potential for smearing increases dramatically. Consequently, your scanner may not be able to read the code. If you wish to print bar codes, please consider using a laser or thermal printer and our LaserLabel or Thermal Lid-Label Cover Sheets.
If you're using our MD2000 program, you can use either the LaserLabel Lid-Label Covers or the Continuous Feed Lid-Label Covers (which were designed for use with dot matrix printers). The Continuous Feed labels are stocked in either Blue or Orange.
Like the blisters, our minimum order for the labels is 5,000 doses. And, you can mix colors and styles to reach the 5,000 dose quantity. LaserLabel Lid-Label Covers can be supplied in 1,000 or 2,500 dose quantities. Thermal Lid-Label Covers are supplied in 1,000 doses quantities. The Continuous Feed Lid-Label Covers are supplied in rolls of 2,500 doses. Pricing is as follows:
