Our popular I.V. Profile / Label Software allows you to efficiently computerize your I.V. orders.
And...Do it for a lot less than you think.
You can create and maintain an on-line database for a variety of I.V. solutions. Orders may be categorized as piggyback, syringe, LVP, TPN, epidural, chemotherapy and chemo syringe. Admixed and non-admixed solutions as well as home infusion orders are supported. For facilities without an existing I.V. pharmacy computer system, our software is an excellent starter program for managing your I.V. orders. For those with systems already in place, it's an ideal cost-effective back-up.
J.C.A.H.O. Compliant Labels may be printed...
- with each new patient order
- PRN (as needed) for replacement I.V.'s
- within a range of "due" times
- upon changing existing orders
- in 24 hour batch runs by patient name, additive, nursing unit or bed number
- home infusion orders may be printed when "home" is entered as patient's bed number
For non-TPN Orders up to 8 additives may be entered. If less than 8 are needed, the extra fields may be used for additional information, instructions, etc. A separate TPN Order input screen lets you specify values for common additives and standard solutions (dextrose, amino acids and lipids).
Four 30-character “free text" lines allow additional additives, solutions or instructions to be included. A starter list of frequent standard orders and comments, with mnemonics, is included to reduce keystrokes. You can enter new standard orders and comments or modify existing ones as needed.
Our versatile program provides for 3 continuous pin-feed label sizes (3" x 4", 2 ½" X 3 ¾", 3" X 3") with 2 different formats each with patient name & bed number at top or bottom, plus 1 fixed laser label format (must use Avery 8395 white badge labels, 8 labels/sheet, if this option is selected).
System requirements:
- IBM PC compatible computer; Windows 9x/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP/Vista
- IBM Proprinter or Epson compatible dot matrix label printer (for example, Okidata Microline 320) for pin-feed labels/reports, and/or HP LaserJet compatible printer for reports or laser labels. Separate printers can be used for labels and reports if desired.
- The software user’s manual is included on the CD in both Word and PDF format, and additional documentation for using USB or network printers with the software is included as well.
- The demo version of the software is a fully functional copy with the exception that the user is limited to only 5 active I.V. orders at any one time.
